Bird of Paradise Plant, or Strelitzia reginae, is a species that like its soil to always be damp but not waterlogged. When watering, water should be directed around the plant rather than over it to prevent water from standing in the plant’s center, which could lead to plant rot. This plant will produce orange flowers with blue centers.

Watering:
With routine watering, the Strelitzia reginae thrives. In order to keep the soil from wilting during the warmer months, keep it moist.

Fertilizer:
Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertilizer or sprinkling solid fertilizer over the soil.

Re-potting:
we suggest repotting every 18-24 months — although the Bird of Paradise prefers to be slightly pot bound, so you can hold off on repotting for 28 months if the plant is in healthy condition.

Temperature:
The Bird of Paradise prefers warm temperatures from 21-28°C.
