A member of the Araliaceae family is the tree Schefflera actinophylla. Tropical plants belong to the Schefflera genus. The larger Schefflera actinophylla has long, lustrous, oval green leaves that gracefully hang from a central stem, suggesting an umbrella. It is also known as the umbrella plant or umbrella tree.

Description
Watering:
During the growing season, water once a week, and periodically mist the leaves. You can wait until the dirt in the pot is completely dry before giving it a good soak with water.
Fertilizer:
During the growing season, fertilize Schefflera plants with liquid fertilizer twice a week. They consume a lot of food, therefore the extra nutrients will be beneficial to them.
Re-potting:
If you choose to re-pot Schefflera, remove it from its container and gently loosen up the roots; it might help to soak them in water.
Temperature:
The Umbrella Tree enjoys normal household conditions: between 15°C and 25°C
