Watering:
Water twice a week on light soil and once a week on clay soil. Be sure to soak the entire root system deeply, this will take about 40-50 minutes. For best growth and production, Pomegranates should receive at least one inch of water a week.
Fertilizer:
Make sure that your fertilizer contains Iron, Zinc, Manganese, Magnesium, Molybdenum, Copper, and Boron. Spread it under the entire canopy, avoiding the 5 inches closest to the trunk. For Zones 8-10, fertilize 3 times each year.
Re-potting:
Repot when it becomes slightly root-bound. When there are no flowers or fruits on the plant, especially at the start of the growing season, it’s time to repot.
Temperature:
Pomegranates are heat resilient and thrive in temperatures above 29 degrees Celsius for at least 120 days per year.
