Dianella Tasmanica is a herbaceous strappy perennial herb found in Southeastern Australia, including Tasmania. It has leaves up to 80 cm long and a flower stem up to 1.5 meters long.

Description
Watering:
For the first few weeks, new plantings should be watered daily. Watering can then be reduced to every two or three days, depending on the weather and soil type. Because clay soils retain moisture longer than sandy soils, expect to water more frequently in sandy areas.
Fertilizer:
Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly.
Re-potting:
Plant it in part shade or deep shade (or in a container) to control its growth.
Temperature:
Flax lily does best in partial shade to heavy shade.
