Camellias are highly attractive and evergreen plants. Camellias are large, broad-leaved, evergreen shrubs that are highly prized for their flowers, which bloom from winter to spring. Due to its high attractiveness, it is called as Queen of winter flowers. Blooming prodigiously for weeks, some Camellia varieties enjoy an extraordinarily long blooming season extending from November to April in the northern hemisphere or from April to September in the southern hemisphere.

You will need to water the Camellia regularly in the hotter months and lower the frequency in winter.

Fertilizer:
Fertilize during early spring and also fertilize Camellias lightly in the late summer.

Re-potting:
Camellia is a fast-growing plant. When found the plant is bigger try to re-pot in a bigger pot every two to three years. Spring is generally the best time for re-potting.

Temperature:
These plants need lower temperatures in order to bloom. Typically, temperatures below 18 degree Celsius works beautifully. Just take care that temperatures stay above freezing.
