The only species of the Genus Calluna within the Ericaceae plant family is called Calluna vulgaris, often known as common heather, ling, or just heather. Semi-double blooms and dark green leaves are two features of Calluna vulgaris Dark Beauty. It favors moist, well-drained soil and is simple to maintain.
