Bougainvillea Alexandra

A woody-stemmed, thorny climber with small, soft, oval leaves that can be kept all year if temperatures stay above 2 degrees Celsius. In the summer, clusters of showy pink-purple bracts surround the small, white tubular flowers. Bougainvilleas are scandent evergreen shrubs with simple ovate leaves and clusters of small tubular flowers surrounded by three showy, brightly colored ovate bracts.
