Bonsai Ginseng

AED 90AED 175

The Ginseng Ficus is native to Southeast Asia. It is most noticeable because it grows thick roots that remain exposed above the ground’s surface. The effect of a bonsai is that of a small tree standing on its legs. The Ginseng Ficus is an indoor Bonsai that does not tolerate frost. It can be brought outside once the temperature consistently rises above 60 degrees Fahrenheit, but it must be kept in the sun and not allowed to dry out.

Watering:
Water thoroughly whenever the soil gets slightly dry.

Fertilizer:
Dilute any multi-purpose liquid fertilizer by fifty percent with water and apply it monthly.

Re-potting:
Every other year, during the summer, repot your Ficus. Remove the tree and soil from its pot, and then trim the tree’s outer and lower quarters. Avoid over-pruning or removing too much root material. Use the bonsai soil mix to repot the bonsai in its original pot or a new container.

Temperature:
Ficus ginseng prefers the warmth that is typical indoors in apartments and houses, ideally between 15 to 24 degrees Celsius.
